The absolute tippity top of my bucket list of places to visit is New Zealand! Primarily the southern island. It reminds me so much of Colorado with all the benefits of the ocean attached. Queenstown, for me, seems like what heaven should be like. The adventure capital of the world. While I love where I live, I also believe this place could offer every possible aspect of both worlds.
The hiking, biking, beautiful scenery, snowboarding, knee boarding, swimming, and even this thing called tramping. While I may know of one version of that that may be a good time too, but, I had to take a little look see to see what their version is. Ah yes, according to Wikipedia,
Tramping is defined as a recreational activity involving walking over rough country. Trampers often carry a backpack and wet-weather gear, and may also carry equipment for cooking and sleeping.
There is so much to do there and then you add in the beauty of both the north and south. I can’t to find my way from north to south. I’ve been lucky enough to work with a number of and they are ever so friendly.
Now above all else, the one location that I have the need to check out before I kick off… and that’s base jumping into this huge hole in New Zealand. Several years ago I fell asleep to the tv and woke up to a video of the Red Bull folks jumping into this hole. I’m not sure what was in there, what was at the bottom, or how the heck they got out, but WOW… it looks crazy. I’m going to be on the search for where this location actually is located. Until then, here’s a few pics for you all.
I hope you all enjoyed location 1 on the ole bucket list of Jill. 😉
If you are out there traveling, enjoy the heck out of it!
