Take a Deep Breath & Scream!
While I’ve traveled the world and checked out all types of theme parks, one thing that will never die is my love of roller coasters. Roller coasters are certainly an acquired taste and I’ve loved them for years! As you stand in line and your palms start to sweat, the thought of the cart coming undone and flying off sits at the forefront of my mind. I’ve visited a number of theme parks in my years and so far I haven’t located any that have scared the ba-jesus of me more than The Hulk at Universal’s Islands of Adventures in Orlando. The first time around when this thing launched us out of the nice slow moving cart, it left me screaming like a little girl. It went from nice and slow, to the, what the……. Bleep
There’s a point about mid-way up that the catapult button is hit and you see your life flash in front of your eyes. After that, it’s hang on and try to breathe. What an amazing ride!

Future Coaster Experience:
While thus far the Hulk wins with me, there is one that I’ve always wanted to experience and it’s located at Cedar Point in Ohio. The highest, fastest roller coaster (that I’m aware of at this point) that looks like you would pee your pants in the first few seconds. It looks like a blast (literally) and I can’t wait to check it out.
SCARIEST COASTER THUS FAR…and not for good reasons (JAZZLAND)
Now there is one place that I can say, a few years ago was the scariest ride of my life.
This was a little place in Louisiana called Jazzland. I’ve heard that 6 Flags has purchased the old run down park. (Thank goodness). It was nothing short of a scene out of a CSI series. I know you’re supposed to get your adrenaline up when you go to one of these parks, but DANG, this was nuts. I could picture the dirty clown coming around the bend with something to cut our heads off. The park was scary and there were maybe a handful of people actually taking their chances. As we walked through the park, we did decide that we should actually try out a ride or two (and that was what we did-2 rides and ran out that place in less than an hour). The creaking and cracking of the rides were not normal, and the whiplash the 2nd ride gave us was enough to call it good. I can’t wait to see what they finally turn it into, but I think I’ll wait for awhile to go back!
Alright y’all, if you are out there traveling, go have a blast. For me, it’s time to go do my homework.
